Open Runs: Try Box Lacrosse Before Joining the Team!

Dates:  September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14

5th – 8th grade:  6:00 – 7:30

High School: 7:30 – 9:00pm

Our Open Runs are ideal for players who want to experience box lacrosse before committing to a team. These sessions provide a great opportunity to get a feel for the fast-paced, high-energy nature of the sport.

Plus, if you decide to join the team after participating in Open Runs, you can apply the cost of these sessions towards your box team payment. It’s a perfect way to try out the sport with no pressure!

NJLT Box Lacrosse Team Program Information (Winter 2024/2025)

Who:
Boys in 5th – 12th Grade

Program Overview:
NJLT is forming 3-4 teams for the 2024/2025 winter season, with rosters capped at 18 players each. Register today to secure your spot!

• High School Teams: 1-2 teams for 9th – 12th graders
• Middle School Teams: 1-2 teams for 5th – 8th graders

What:
Box lacrosse practices begin at the end of October and continue weekly through February. This winter season, we will be competing in two tournaments:

• Practice Schedule:
  • When: Monday nights, October 21 – January 26th
    • 5th – 8th Grade: 6:00 – 7:30 PM
    • High School: 7:30 – 9:00 PM
  • Where: Jackson NJ Justice Complex Rink, 1 Jackson Drive, Jackson Township, NJ 08527
  • Note: The exact schedule will be set in TeamSnap once registered.
• CJBLL Games Schedule:
  Players registered with Team NJLT Box Lacrosse will play games on Wednesdays/Thursdays from mid October through mid December. Times will be announced as we get closer and set the game times.
• Tournaments:
  • Tournament 1: January 4th/5th, 2024 at XL Sports World, Hatfield, PA
  • Tournament 2: January 25th/26th, 2024 at XL Sports World, Hatfield, PA

Box lacrosse offers fast play, increased stick skills, and the ability to elevate players’ games more rapidly than any other form of lacrosse. The two-man games, quick stick skills, and fast reactions developed in box lacrosse significantly enhance players’ overall abilities.

Player Registration: $695

• Payment Options:
  • Pay in full at the time of registration
  • Pay with a 1/3 deposit and the balance paid monthly over 3 months

What’s Included:
Enrollment includes all practice sessions, rink time, coaches, guest box lacrosse coaches, tournament fees, home/away game uniforms, and all practice/event expenses.

Equipment:

• Required:
  • Box Bicep Pads ($20 – $50)
  • Box Rib Pads ($50 – $80)
• Optional: Box helmets
