About the Academy
Skills-First Training,
Built for Every Season
The Boys Lax Academy is a 60-minute, fundamentals-focused training program running seven blocks throughout the year. It's built for boys in grades 2–10 who want to develop real lacrosse skills — not just put in time. Whether your son is picking up a stick for the first time or sharpening what he already knows, every session is structured to maximize reps, build confidence, and produce measurable growth.
Sessions rotate between two NJ locations — indoor sessions at Ivy League in Manalapan (Winter, Preseason, Fall 2) and outdoor sessions at Cedar Drive Middle School in Colts Neck (Spring, Midseason, Summer, Fall). Four sessions per block. One evening per week.
Fundamentals & Position-Specific IQ
Every session builds the technical foundation players need — stick work, dodging, shooting, defense, and the game IQ to make it all work in real situations.
Maximum Reps Every Night
60 minutes of high-intensity skill reps. No filler, no long lines. Every player works continuously from warm-up to final whistle.
Expert Monmouth Coaches
Direct access to experienced coaches in a small-group setting — with personal feedback that actually moves the needle between sessions.
Seasonally Appropriate Curriculum
Each block is timed to prepare players for what's coming — spring season, summer camp, fall competition, or winter development.

What We Train
Six Areas of Player Development
Fun-First Instruction
Games, challenges, and activities keep kids engaged while they learn real skills — they won't even realize they're in training.
Watch the Big Kids Play
Little Laxxers get to watch older Summer Camp players in full games with sideline coaching — sparking serious inspiration.
Age-Right Coaching
Our coaches specialize in working with young kids — patient, encouraging, and experienced in early athletic development.
Outdoor Morning Sessions
Two hours of fresh air, movement, and sunshine at Bucks Mills Park — the best way to start a summer morning.
New Friends & Teammates
Little Laxxers meet other kids their age and build friendships that often continue through years of lacrosse ahead.
Zero Pressure Environment
No helmet, no pads, no prior experience required. Just a stick, some space, and a whole lot of encouragement.
Formerly known as NJLT Lacrosse — same great coaches, elevated brand.
Right Program?
Who the Boys Lax Academy Is Built For
The Academy is designed for a specific player profile — one that benefits most from high-rep, fundamentals-focused coaching in a small-group setting.
Beginners Building a Foundation
Players new to lacrosse (under 2 years experience) who want to learn the game the right way — proper mechanics, real fundamentals, and a solid base to build on in their school or club program.
Developing Players Leveling Up
Players with some experience who want more reps, more one-on-one coaching feedback, and more deliberate skill development than their school or rec league alone can provide.
Year-Round Athletes
Players who understand that consistent off-season training is what separates good players from great ones — and who want to train smart across every season of the year.
