Box Lacrosse Clinic Refund Policy

  • No Refunds: Once registered for the Box Lacrosse Clinic, refunds will not be issued, regardless of attendance or participation. You may switch your session date to another ABC’s of box lacrosse clinic.

  • Cancellation Policy: If NJLT cancels the clinic for any reason, a full refund will be provided, or you may choose to apply the credit to a future clinic or camp.

  • Injury Policy: If a player sustains an injury before the clinic begins and is unable to participate, a partial credit may be issued for future NJLT events, provided a valid medical note is submitted. This credit is at the discretion of NJLT and must be requested before the clinic’s start date.

  • Weather Policy: In the event of weather-related cancellations, efforts will be made to reschedule the session. If rescheduling is not possible, a prorated credit will be applied to future NJLT events.

  • Non-Transferable: Credits or refunds are non-transferable to other individuals or events not directly organized by NJLT.

Box Lacrosse Clinic FAQ

1. Who can participate in the Box Lacrosse Clinic?

  • The clinic is open to boys in 5th through 12th grade. Players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome to join.

2. What equipment is required?

  • Participants need to bring a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, mouthguard, and cleats or sneakers. It’s also recommended to bring a water bottle. Box lacrosse rib pads and bicep pads are not required for clinics but are recommended for players involved in teams or leagues.

3. What will I learn at the clinic?

  • You will learn fundamental box lacrosse techniques, key differences between box and field lacrosse, essential rules, and strategies like 2-man games, pick-and-rolls, and quick sticks. You’ll also gain an understanding of how gameplay differs in box lacrosse.

4. What is the format of the clinic?

  • The clinic consists of skill sessions, drills, and live small sided games. Coaches will focus on developing both individual skills and team-based strategies in a fast-paced, engaging environment.

5. Are there any refunds if I can’t attend?

  • No refunds are provided once registered. However, if the clinic is canceled by NJLT, a full refund or credit toward a future event will be offered. In case of injury before the clinic, a partial credit may be provided with a valid medical note.

6. What happens in case of bad weather?

  • If a session is canceled due to weather, we will reschedule. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a prorated credit will be applied to future NJLT events.

7. How do I register for the clinic?

  • Registration can be completed online through the NJLT website. Early registration is encouraged as spots are limited and fill up quickly.

8. How many players will be in each session?

  • Sessions are designed to ensure a low player-to-coach ratio, allowing for personalized instruction and maximum skill development. Typically, groups are kept small to maintain the quality of training.

9. What should I bring to the clinic?

  • In addition to the required equipment, players should bring a water bottle, snacks, and any necessary medical supplies (e.g., inhalers, EpiPens). It’s also a good idea to bring an extra pair of sneakers or cleats in case of wet conditions.

10. Will there be any competitive games?

  • No, the clinic will not include scrimmages we will teach the skills and strategies so that they are ready to compete in games.  Box lacrosse games run on Monday nights through mid October and the CJBLL (league) starts up on Wednesdays running thorugh December.
